If you have the need for additional inspections I can usually coordinate that inspection at the same time I am doing my Mechanical and Structural review or commonly known as a Home Inspection.
I do not collect any fees for coordinating these inspections. All fees for the pool and termite inspections are paid directly to the provider of that inspection. Note also that licensed pest inspectors are required to charge tax on their inspections/reports per the State of Texas law.
Pool inspections will be done by a professional who used to build and service pools. He does pool inspections for many of the Home Inspectors, realtors and brokers in our market. His fees range from $125 to $175 and depend upon the complexity of the pool system.
WDI (Wood Destroying Insects - aka: termites) inspections can usually be coordinated at the same time I do my inspection. Check to be sure whether your lender "requires" such an inspection. Some do and some don't. You may just want to have this additional inspection as well.
Due to state licensing laws I cannot make a definitive statement as to the official condition regarding the presence or lack thereof of such pests. WDI fees range from $80 to $150 (plus tax) depending upon the type of foundation ... (pier & beam foundation reviews are more involved).
