My certifications cover all the basic disciplines regarding residential properties and more.
I am certified by the ICC (International Code Council) and hold all residential certifications (Building, Electrical, Mechanical & Plumbing) including Residential Combination Inspector. Fewer than 12% of all licensed TREC Professional Inspectors have attained this level of commitment to our profession.
None of my certifications is "required" to legally inspect residential properties in the State of Texas. However, the training and testing along with required continuing education for such certifications add to my Home Inspection abilities that will benefit you and your Inspection.
My license to legally inspect properties in the State of Texas is currently active as you can see by clicking on the TREC #7095 link just below on this page.
The Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) controls the fundamental basics of what and how we are allowed to inspect properties. The TREC SOP (Standards of Practice) is the minimal baseline that we are required to follow. I have always exceeded the TREC minimums and am always continuing my education to far exceed those TREC requirements to be able to do a better inspection for you.
If you are so inclined to review I've provided a link below for the current SOP that became effective on January 1, 2014.
